Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how URBAN GETAWAY S.R.L. (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the miMakina mobile application (“the App”).
miMakina is designed to work offline. We do not collect, transmit, store, or sell your personal data on our servers.
All information you enter in the App is stored locally on your device, unless you explicitly choose to export or back up your data using tools provided by your device or operating system.
Data Collection Statement
We do not collect or share user data.
Specifically, miMakina does not:
- collect personal data on behalf of URBAN GETAWAY S.R.L.;
- transmit user data to our servers or to third parties;
- use analytics, advertising, profiling, or tracking tools;
- use third-party SDKs for analytics, crash reporting, or ads;
- require account creation, registration, or login.
If your copy of the App is distributed through Google Play, Google or your device manufacturer may process certain technical information under their own terms and privacy policies. This Privacy Policy covers the data practices of miMakina and URBAN GETAWAY S.R.L., not those of Google, Android, or third-party cloud storage providers chosen by you.
Data Stored Locally on Your Device
The App stores data locally on your device in order to provide its functionality. Depending on how you use the App, this may include:
- Vehicle information, such as vehicle name, type, brand, license plate number, odometer readings, or engine hours;
- Document and reminder information, such as expiry dates for insurance, inspections, licenses, parking, or other records you choose to track;
- Maintenance and service information, such as service intervals, targets, and user-entered notes;
- App settings and preferences, such as language, units, and notification preferences;
- Backup files, if you choose to export or import your data.
This information is stored locally using standard Android storage mechanisms, such as a local database and app preferences. It remains on your device unless you choose to export it.
How the App Uses Your Data
The data you enter is used only to provide the App’s features on your device, including:
- showing your saved vehicles and records;
- calculating and displaying reminder dates;
- sending local notifications that you configure;
- restoring your information from a backup file you select.
We do not use your data for advertising, analytics, automated profiling, or marketing.
Permissions
miMakina may request the following Android permissions:

These permissions are used only for the App’s core functionality. They are not used to collect personal data or to transmit information to us.
The App does not request access to your contacts, camera, microphone, location, photos, SMS, or call logs.
Internet and Network Use
miMakina does not require an internet connection for its core functionality.
The App does not send your data to servers operated by URBAN GETAWAY S.R.L. and does not depend on online accounts or cloud synchronization provided by us.
If you choose to export a backup file to a cloud provider available on your device (for example, through Android’s system file picker), that action is initiated by you and handled by your chosen provider under its own privacy policy.
Backup and Restore
The App may allow you to create and restore backup files of your local data.
- Backup files are created only when you choose to do so.
- You select the destination where the backup file is saved.
- We do not receive, upload, store, or access your backup files.
- If you save a backup to a third-party cloud storage service, that provider’s terms and privacy policy apply to that storage.
The backup and restore process is under your control.
Data Retention and Deletion
Because data is stored locally on your device, retention is controlled by you.
- You can edit or delete records from within the App.
- You can clear the App’s local storage from your device settings.
- Uninstalling the App generally removes its locally stored data from the device.
- Backup files that you exported remain wherever you saved them until you delete them yourself.
We do not retain any copy of your data on our servers because we do not receive it in the first place.
Data Deletion Requests
Since URBAN GETAWAY S.R.L. does not collect or store your App data on external servers, there is no server-side user database for us to delete on your behalf.
You can delete your data by:
- deleting items within the App;
- clearing the App’s storage in Android settings;
- uninstalling the App;
- deleting any exported backup files from the location where you saved them.

Data Security
We rely on standard Android platform protections for locally stored app data, including app sandboxing and device-level security controls.
- The App’s local storage is generally isolated from other apps by Android.
- No transmission to our servers means there is no network transfer of your App data to us.
- No central database is maintained by us for this App.
No method of storage or electronic processing is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your own device, including by using screen lock, device encryption, and safe backup practices.
Security and Integrity Checks
The App may perform local security and integrity checks on your device in order to protect the App from tampering, unauthorized modifications, or piracy.
These checks may include verifying the App’s digital signature, detecting debugging tools, and identifying potentially unsafe environments (such as rooted devices or instrumentation frameworks).
These checks are performed entirely on your device and are not transmitted to URBAN GETAWAY S.R.L. or to any third party.
No personal data is collected, stored, or shared as part of these checks. These checks are used solely to ensure the integrity and proper functioning of the App.
Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children through the App.
Third-Party Services
miMakina does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs operated by us for the purpose of collecting user data.
However, third-party platforms and services outside our control may apply their own terms and privacy practices, including:
- Google Play and Android platform services;
- cloud storage providers you choose when exporting backups;
- device manufacturers or operating system providers.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of those third parties where relevant.
Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding personal data under applicable law. Because miMakina does not collect or store your App data on our servers, these rights are generally exercised directly by you on your device.
- Access: you can view your data in the App.
- Correction: you can edit your data in the App.
- Deletion: you can delete your data in the App, clear storage, or uninstall the App.
- Portability: you can export your data using the backup feature, where available.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after an updated Privacy Policy becomes available means you acknowledge the updated version.
